Togdar imported 1.7 tons of cannabis from a farm in Uganda

The company estimates a sales value of more than NIS 20 per gram and a gross profit of tens of millions of shekels from this shipment

The medical cannabis company Togder announces today that a shipment of about 1.7 tons of medical cannabis has arrived in Israel today, consisting of bio-permits rich in THC strains intended for the local market. The produce comes from the company’s production facility in Uganda, and the company estimates that this is the largest shipment of medical cannabis that has arrived in Israel to date – and one of the largest in the world.

Togder estimates a sale value of over NIS 20 per gram, so that together with the growing variety of varieties in the excellent Ugandan climate for medical cannabis, a gross profit of tens of millions of shekels is expected.

In accordance with the requirements of the medical cannabis unit in the Ministry of Health, the company will be required to perform tests as are performed on all Israeli farms in order to verify that the product meets the requirements of the HQR.

Today, Togder’s products are sold in pharmacies in the country, including the Super Pharm chain and it has exclusive marketing and distribution agreements with the Pharma Good Pharm chain and the Israeli medical services company. The company recently announced that its local plant in the Ashkelon area has received approval to pass an infrastructure test for compliance with the IMC-GMP standard of the Medical Cannabis Unit of the Ministry of Health. After the operation and with the transition to self-production without third-party involvement, a further increase in the company’s profitability is expected.

Togder CEO Nissim Bracha: “Togder continues its work for the year of the 2021 breakthrough to realize the company’s business strategy for involvement in the entire value chain. “Increasing market presence, our ability to produce and market deliveries on a historic scale, and the continued growth and development of the farm on the farm alongside the trade agreements we signed – are the milestones in making the company a leading player in the local and global medical cannabis market.”
