TikTok winners Charli and Dixie D’Amelio Face Backlash for reporting on travel through the pandemic

TikTok stars in Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, along with some of their friends, infuriate fans after they go on holiday to the Bahamas during the holiday season.

The sisters and a handful of the other creators flew to the tropics during the COVID-19 pandemic, raising concerns that they were traveling from a famous California location and may not have been take proper warning, ET Canada recitation.

TikTok influence watchdog account The TikTok Room shared some photos and videos of the influencers involved, including Charli and Dixie, Madi Monroe, Noah Beck, Avani Gregg, and more. Images include: a photo of Madi on a plane (straight from her own Instagram feed) including the widely recommended face mask. The D’Amelio sisters haven’t posted anything about the trip on their own social channels, but others in the group have shared Stories and Instagram videos.

There were fans No happy to see the group travel – especially when, according to NBC News, hospital beds in their Los Angeles home center are filled with COVID – 19 patients. The city of Los Angeles is currently under a “safer at home” emergency order; and as of last week, intensive care unit (ICU) capacity in Southern California hospitals was at 0%, according to the Los Angeles Times. “It simply came to our notice then. Their work as ‘influencers’ literally allows them to GET HOME and make an infertile amount of money, ”wrote one TikTok Room starter. “Where [sic] many others risk their lives every day by working, and wish they had the choice of working from home, but that cannot happen because they have to pay the bills … This is the very reason why the spread of COVID will not end. They literally encourage travel to their fans. I’m ashamed. Best not to make the apology sad if it is [sic] say they have traveled for work because they have a good knowledge of working from home but are self-sufficient and travel in a pandemic. ”

Another said, “I can’t see my friends in almost a year and I travel wtf. ”Some fans even made TikTok videos of theirs showcasing the Charli-like eternity of stay-at-home instructions.

according to BuzzFeed News, the group appeared to be at the Atlantis tourist center in Nassau, where passengers are not allowed to enter without the negative COVID-19 test result. However, a negative test does not guarantee that someone will not have the virus, and the group could put many others at risk.

This is not the first controversy of Charli and Dixie. The pair were recently criticized after a video of them being rude to their private chef went viral and caused the two winners to lose followers at a rapid rate. The sisters responded to the final video, with Charli crying and Dixie saying that the entire video was set up for content.

Regarding the Bahamas visit, members of that group have not responded publicly to the reshuffle. Deuga Vogue he will update this story as it develops.
