Tiger Woods has announced that he has left the hospital following his car crash last month

Tiger Woods says he is happy to be home after leaving the hospital following a serious car crash in California last month.

Woods suffered multiple fractures in the crash, when he went off the road “at high speed”. He rolled his car several times before resting on an embankment.

The 45-year-old, who was on his way to the Rolling Hills Country Club for an advertising scene when the crash happened shortly after 7am local time on February 23, was pulled from the wreck by the emergency services.

He underwent surgery after leaving the accident with an “open fracture affecting the upper and lower ends of the tibia and fibula bones”.

In a statement released Tuesday night, Woods said: “I am pleased to report that I am back home and continuing. I am so grateful for the support and encouragement I have received over the years. last few weeks.

“Thank you to the wonderful surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You have all cared so much for me and I can’t thank you enough.

“I get back at home and work on getting stronger every day.”
