‘Tierney can captain Arsenal & top left-back in league’ – Silvestre welcomes Scotland defender

The former Gunners star is a major influence on the impact on the Emirates Stadium with a full Celtic back who is currently nursing a hill.

Kieran Tierney is Arsenal’s captain in manufacturing and could be “the best backup in the league”, according to Mikael Silvestre.

Scotland’s top international will mark his second season at the Emirates Stadium.

He was taken out of Celtic in the summer of 2019, with Arsenal winning the race for a popular signature.

Tierney has suffered a setback in his debating campaign, and is back on the sidelines right now, but the 23 – year – old has shown his ability when appropriate.

A key role was placed in Mikel Arteta’s plans, either on the left of four or inside a three-man defensive unit, with the Scot proving to be a rare consistency model for the Gunners.

Silvestre thinks there is even more to come from Tierney going forward, as it is easy to argue that he is the next one to take up arms in north London.

“I would say Kieran Tierney is their special player this season. He has done so well, especially after being injured last season, ”said Arsenal deputy defender Silvestre Ladbrokes.

“It proves its worth and will inspire many of the team’s friends by never giving up.

“He is definitely a future captain and although he needs a lot more games under his belt, he certainly has the quality of being the best left-back player in the league.

“He certainly intends to wear Arsenal one day. ”

Tierney was absent for Arsenal in their most recent trip, as Arteta’s men were held to a 0-0 derby draw by neighbors London Crystal Palace.

That situation led to a run of four victories after all competition was over, but progress is still being made by a side that had threatened to be dragged into a relegation battle at one point.

Silvestre said of a reversal in the fortunes of the Gunners: “I was so pleased with what Arsenal got a few weeks ago. It seems like it’s all or nothing to them right now though.

“They have been successful in winning the FA Cup, they have a very good quality in their young players and the team looks like they bought into what Mikel Arteta is trying to achieve.

“However, it is a very competitive league. You can’t just turn up and think you’re going to play nice football and get results; you must submit a motion.

“Arsenal have found that to be the hard way in the last few weeks. ”
