The improved ability shown by Guy Melamed in the recent Johnston uniform in the Scottish League has not gone unnoticed by a number of clubs from neighboring England. According to a report in the British media, Sunderland, the third division ‘Wapswitz’s are in the race to sign the Israeli striker.
“Since arriving in the Scottish league in October, the 28-year-old has impressed when he was involved in eight goals,” reads a report about ex-Maccabi Netanya, who will end a contract in the summer and attracts interest ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
“The progress of the teams in the league in the coming weeks, may be the one that will affect the budget and the contract they will be able to offer to Melamed at the end of the current season,” they added in a report about the Israeli striker. Sunderland are currently in third place in the league, two points away from the ticket to the sub-league, while Pros’ and Ipswich are battling for a place in the playoffs.
