Paris Saint-Germain and Thomas Tuchel no longer? According to European media reports, the German coach who arrived at the club in 2018 was fired by professional manager Leonardo after the 0: 4 Strasbourg victory in the French league last night (Wednesday).
Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, who has not coached since being sacked by Tottenham in November 2019, is the leading candidate to replace Tuchel in the post. This may be a particularly exciting appointment for Pochettino, who played for the club from 2001-2003 and won the Intertoto Cup with him.

After 17 rounds in France, PSG is in third place with 35 points, a point less than a million and a night above it. In the last four league games the Parisians have won twice, but lost to Lyon and ended in a zero draw with Lille, the team’s rivalry at the top of the table.
In the Champions League, Paris overcame a bad start to the home stage and eventually finished in the lead of House H, with three consecutive victories over Leipzig, Manchester United and Istanbul in Shakespeare. In the quarterfinals, which will take place in mid-February, the team was drawn from the City of Lights against Barcelona.
