This week in images: Lady Gaga Transforms and International Women’s Day

As part of a new series on Vogue, we record the images that feature the past week – from our own archive as well as images that are fresh off the runway.

This week began with the worldwide-heard interview: Meghan Markle’s intriguing conversation with Oprah, and the ensuing royal move that had the presses whistling on either side of the lunch. (Many of them commented on what appeared to be a Diana Princess bombing interview on BBC Panorama in 1995.) Markle wasn’t the only celebrity to be put down on social media, either. First images from the upcoming crime thrush Ridley Scott Gucci House, starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, the stars of the film saw a true form of 90s Italian glamor, with a special focus on Driver’s cable-knit sweater.

There were many others au courant style moments are happening too, as Paris Fashion Week without an audience this season ended with stunning performances from Dior and Louis Vuitton. For fashion fans on a budget, however, there was even more exciting news: the launch of Simone Rocha’s much-anticipated collaboration with H&M, which saw most styles sell out in minutes. Finally, to mark International Women’s Day on Monday, a series of events and protests were held around the globe, bringing hope after a turbulent year for women’s rights. See the five images of the week below.
