“This is what Putin is most afraid of”: the leader of the Russian opposition in a dramatic announcement

Alexei Navalny, The leader of the Russian opposition, today (Monday) called on his supporters to take to the streets because “this is what Putin is most afraid of.” He made the remarks in a video posted on YouTube after a Russian court sentenced Nablani to 30 days in jail. “Do not be afraid, take to the streets. Not for me, but for you and for your future,” he said in the video. The court will hear his sentence on February 2.

Also, the UN and Western countries like Germany and Britain today called on Russia to release Navalny, who was arrested last night immediately upon his return to Moscow already at the airport.

Germany and Britain announced this at routine press conferences they held. A spokesman for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Navalny should be released immediately. “It is appalling that Mr. Nabalani has been arrested by the Russian authorities, and he should be released immediately. Instead of persecuting Nabalani, Moscow should fulfill its duty under international law, investigate and explain the use of chemical weapons on Russian soil,” he added.

The 44-year-old opposition leader, Nabalani, was poisoned at an airport last August as part of an assassination attempt on his life, apparently carried out by Russian government officials. He stayed there until yesterday.

The harsh president of the Russian president announced in advance his intention to return to the territory of the country. On Tuesday, Pavel Zalansky, a member of Navalny’s staff, was also arrested and ordered by the court until February 28 for extreme incitement across the Internet.

Last night, upon his arrest, United States National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan wrote on his Twitter account: “He should be released immediately and the person who tried to assassinate him should be tried immediately. “Russia wants their voice heard.”

The foreign ministers of France and Italy also joined calls for the release of Navalny: “France takes his arrest seriously, and together with our partner in Europe, we call for his immediate release.” In Italy, the foreign minister said: “We are seeking his immediate release and expect his rights to be respected.”

Last month, CNN revealed how a villain was poisoned by a Russian agent. The poison that hit Navalny was buried in his underwear, when the information was revealed by Navalny himself in conversations with the agent. The poison, according to the agent, was inserted into the internal sutures in the groin area in the underwear of the opposition chairman.

According to toxicologists who took part in the journalistic investigation, attaching the poison to clothing and thus increasing exposure to large parts of the skin is one of the safest ways to poison, especially when the victim begins to sweat.
