And Paul Mescal ran in his 25th birthday in Friday style while heading to the Bondi Box Club.

The actor laughed and grieved as he wore a breast protector while his personal trainers tossed off some of his favorite punches.

Paul certainly looked as if he had sweat worked up in the ring while standing and waiting for his friends to get a beat.

The boxing club shared the guest clip on his Instagram and wrote: ‘Happy Birthday @ paul.mescal’.

When one fan asked why he needed to have a birthday, the club replied: ‘because this was his birthday and that’s how we say we love ort. ‘

Paul is in Australia after taking over the male leadership of the character Aidan from Jamie Dornan.

He appears alongside Melissa Barrera, who plays the title role of Carmen, in the adaptation of the love opera, directed by Benjamin Millepied.

Earlier this week, Paul congratulated his Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones for naming her Golden Globes.

Going to Instagram after the news, Paul shared a funny video that saw him and Daisy watching from left, right, up and down, before doing a funny dance.

Sadly, Paul missed out on being named in the Best Actor category in the Limited Series, as nods to Bryan Cranston, Jeff Daniels, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, and Mark Ruffalo replaced him.
