The Ministry of Education announced tonight (Sunday) the launch of “Returning to Life in Education”, the vaccination campaign against Corona for teaching staff. In the first phase, the vaccines will be given to teaching staff and education staff who also teach during the closure period – special education, at-risk youth and boarding schools. These will be able to reach, starting this week, the health funds and get vaccinated. At the same time, the Ministry of Education is preparing to vaccinate the other teaching staff and teaching staff in the system.
The Ministry of Education detailed the operation management procedure, which was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Health. As of today, all teaching staff will be notified via e-mail, as well as text messages to the mobile device, about the possibility of getting vaccinated. The message will include an online link to fill out a vaccination registration form. The form will be found on the teaching staff portal. The details of a teaching employee, who will express his consent to be vaccinated, will be forwarded to the Ministry of Health and the HMOs. The funds will contact him proactively to make an appointment for the vaccine. As stated, priority will be given to administering the vaccine doses to staff in special education institutions, at-risk youth and boarding schools.
In addition, the directors of the educational institutions will update the staff – including assistants, secretaries, fathers and more – about the possibility of receiving a vaccination summons. The process will be accompanied by the district administrators. Registration will be done by the directors of the educational institutions through the portal of educational institutions.
The office of the Deputy Minister of Education, Meir Porush, stated that an arrangement has been found that will address the exemption institutions and small meetings in vaccinating the education staff. According to the summary, the directors of the exemption institutions, small yeshivahs, independent education and kindergartens will urgently and centrally transmit the names of the teaching staff and support staff in the institutions through the teaching staff portal of the Ministry of Education. In the first phase, the special education teaching staff and youth at risk will be vaccinated, and then the vaccine will be given to all staff, with an emphasis on those who have not been infected so far.
