The US Congress voted tonight (Wednesday) in favor of opening a second impeachment process in the last year of outgoing US President Donald Trump.
Trump has been accused of inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol Hill in Washington last week to prevent the appointment of incoming President Joe Biden.
Trump thus becomes the first president in American history to be ousted twice by the House of Representatives and more with the support of ten members of his party, including Republican leader in Congress Mitch McConnell.

Trump’s trial is not expected to begin before the end of his term next week. It will take place in the Senate and it is very possible that there will be a majority for the outgoing president that will allow him to end the procedure without being harmed, since if the Senate decides to approve the removal, Trump will no longer be able to hold public office.
Earlier, the outgoing president referred to reports of violent demonstrations planned near the date of Joe Biden’s inauguration and called on his supporters to refrain from breaking the law. “We must have no violence, no lawlessness and no vandalism of any kind,” Trump wrote in an official statement.
