Lenovo Israel launches mobileThinkPad X1 Fold The owner of the folding screen in Israel. The X1 Fold comes as an unconventional addition to Lenovo’s ThinkPad business mobile series, using a 13.3-inch flexible OLED screen powered by Intel’s Lakefield hybrid processor.
While the X1 Fold mobile arrives in the country in early 2021, it was introduced as an initial prototype back in May 2019, with official unveiling during the CES 2020 conference after a development that lasted over 4 years. The central part of the X1 Fold is the flexible 13.3-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2048 × 1536, which is divided into two 9.7-inch screens if folded, while also supporting the company’s Active Pen.
The laptop is made of a lightweight alloy with carbon fiber reinforcements that allow the X1 Fold to reach a weight of less than a kilogram. It comes with a leather cover that protects the laptop and a built-in stand for using the X1 Fold in a standing position on the desktop. Lenovo has created a tiny wireless keyboard that magnetizes to the screen and allows you to use the X1 Fold as a standard laptop or with the help of a wireless keyboard when the laptop is fully open and stands with the built-in leg on the table.

The ThinkPad X1 Fold is a unique mobile in the field of computers today, similar to the cellular field where we can find mobile devices with folding screens, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Motorola Razr, and can be expected to look similar in the future from other companies. At the moment, the X1 Fold is far from being the cheapest mobile on the market, when it is offered at a price that starts at about NIS 15,000, compared to the price abroad, which starts at $ 2499, or about NIS 8007.
