Following the release of the top five for the NBA All-Star Game returning this season after not being held last season due to the Corona plague, tonight (light for Wednesday) the substitutes for the game to be held on March 7 were also announced. The great news that has come out is that for the first time in his career, Zion Williamson will play in the All-Star Game after making the substitutes list.

In the West, in addition to Zion, Chris Paul, Paul George, Damien Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gober and Anthony Davis were also selected. To the east there is James Harden who did not fit into the original five selected, Julius Randall, Jason Taitum, Jaylen Brown, Zack Lavine, Ben Simmons and Nikola Vucevic.

The top five will be made up of Steph Kerry, Luca Doncic, LeBron James, Kwai Leonard and Nikola Jokic in the West, while on the East side will be Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Bradley Bill, Yannis Antocompo and Joel Ambide. James and Durant are the captains. It should be noted that if the injured Davis does not recover in time, the Western team will get a replacement player. Notable names left out: Trey Young from Atlanta, Devin Booker from Phoenix, Tobias Harris who is recording a tremendous season in Philadelphia and Damar Druzen from San Antonio.
