The funeral of the late Rabbi Baruch Hakshar, one of the heads of the Or Baruch Yeshiva in Jerusalem, who died today (Wednesday) at the age of 83, after contracting in Corona, was held before sunset, his eldest son mourned him with excitement.

The funeral procession left his home in the Sanhedria neighborhood of Jerusalem, in the direction of Yeshivat Or Baruch and then to Mount of Beatitudes, where the late Rabbi Hakshar was buried.

His eldest son, eulogized him near his home in the expanded Sanhedria neighborhood of Jerusalem: “He did everything exactly what needed to be done. One who is connected to morality all his life, so he knows how to conduct himself. No one acted and he never bragged about what he did.”

“We need to learn from him, how he always thought of others. Dad always told me to cherish and appreciate every Torah follower, every little thing he knew how to extend, and I say only a little praise. ‘By tricks’ – he did everything to pardon and give compliments to the other.”

“We tried everything we could – we did everything under the guidance of a doctor, we did everything but maybe we could have done more, so we apologize for everything.”

The deceased (83) was born in 1937 to his parents, Rabbi Shimon and Mrs. Hanna, after immigrating to Eretz Israel from their country of origin, Germany.

Rabbi Baruch’s brother, is the famous genius Rabbi David Hakshar ztl., One of the heads of the Kol Torah Yeshiva, who died at a young age from cancer.

When he came to his senses, Rabbi Baruch married the daughter of Rabbi Yosef Steinberg from Jerusalem, and established a faithful home with her in Israel, who spent most of his years in the Sanhedria neighborhood of the city.

He began his career in Torah recitation at the Tifrach, where he was one of the heads of the yeshiva about 35 years ago. Blessed is he who established the Gaon Rabbi Gabriel Toledano ztl.

At his death he left behind eight children, seven sons and a daughter, one of whom was to be led under the canopy during the past week – a wedding that was of course postponed in light of the situation.
