Former President Donald Trump has said that Capitol Hill rioters care more about the election results than Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy during a conversation between the two during the violent congressional riots in Washington, CNN reported this morning (Saturday).

“Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more troubled by the election results than you are,” Trump told McCarthy, who begged Trump to plead with his supporters who broke into the Congress building to stop.
According to lawmakers, who received the details of the conversation from McCarthy, the former president’s remarks angered the Republican leader, and the two conducted the conversation with loud shouts. McCarthy told Trump that the rioters were breaking into his office through the windows, and even asked him, “Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?”.
