Xbox Game Pass for PC kicks off the strong new year with the addition of the secret What Remains Of Edith Finch. It’s a first-person exploration game going around the weird, sprawling house built by the Finch family, which may have been cursed over generations. It’s a bit of an RPS fare, and will arrive on Microsoft’s membership service on January 14th. This is one I’ve been meant to get my hands on for ages, so now I have no excuses.
“Edith Finch won every tear, every smile and every moment of joy,” Adam Smith (RPS in Peace) said in his review of What Remains Of Edith Finch. “It’s two hours, maybe just a little over, with no padding at all. In those two hours you will see and do more than most games ask you in twenty. ”
The glorious suggestion doesn’t end there though, the RPS Hivemind believes this is one of the best games of the 2010s, has some of the most satisfying architecture in PC games, and VidBud built Alice Liguori was previously part of the game in The Sims 4.
If that’s not entirely your thing, you might be excited to find out the DC Injustice 2 superhero fighting game hitting Game Pass for PC on January 7th. Then Neoverse and YIIK: Postmodern RPG will both arrive on January 14th as well.
Of course, the new year also marks the departure of a couple of goodies from the service. Farewell to FTL: Faster than Light and my friend Pedro, which will no longer be available on January 15 (however, FTL is currently on sale on Humble for just £ 1.74, which you should take advantage of on because it is brilliant).
