The PS5 target reset report will reveal when the next drop occurs

A new PS5 replacement report claims that PlayStation players still looking for the next-gen console could still get one by 2021, courtesy of Target. In the last few days, PS5 replenishments have been endless at all. From Amazon, to Walmart, to Best Buy, to GameStop, no one had a PS5 this week. However, it looks like Target is going to push another round of stocks right before 2020 comes to an end, or at least that is what a new report says.

According to the report, which comes the way of Spiel Times, target stores across the country have started receiving 10-15 units of the console, while other sources expect new stock to arrive on Sunday this, 27 December.

At present, there is no word on when these restocks will be released, and it is unclear whether it will be nationwide. However, if some stores don’t get their restock until the end of the weekend, it seems to mean that the stockpile won’t happen until next week, maybe Monday or Tuesday.

While stores seem to be getting PS5 stock this weekend, you won’t be able to buy any of it yet. Buying online is the only way to secure this stock. If you can secure a console in this way, you will be able to pick it up at the store or take it home.

As Spiel Times points out, target resets typically occur between 3 am and 7 am EST, and like all other online retailers, all re-stock comes with website issues and attracts enough bots to compete against them.

As for the report itself, take it with a grain of salt. Although he cites several sources, Target himself has not yet mentioned anything. And of course, even if stock comes in this weekend, that doesn’t mean it will sell out before the end of the year.
