The number of corona patients in a difficult condition continues to decline and their number tonight (Tuesday) stands at 705 – the lowest figure since December 30. The number of respirators has also decreased and 213 patients connected to respirators are hospitalized in hospitals across the country. This is according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The data show that 54.2% of the respirators are over 60, a much lower rate since the start of the vaccination campaign. 20.6% are in their 50s – that is, one in five. 13% of respirators – one in eight or so – are in their 40s and 8.2% in their 30s. In addition, four young men and two young women in their 20s are connected to the soul machines, as well as two girls. There is no respirator under the age of 10.

Since the outbreak of the plague, 5,786 corona patients have died in Israel, eight of them today and 19 yesterday.

Meanwhile, every day thousands of new verified viruses are diagnosed in Israel. By 6:20 p.m., according to the Ministry of Health, 2,808 people had been diagnosed with the infection. A total of 54,000 corona tests have been performed and the positive rate is currently 5.2%, the lowest figure since December 27 – although this is not a final figure.

Meanwhile, the Corona Cabinet decided on Significant reduction in the activity of the Exceptions Committee – and its restriction to those leaving Israel who are not vaccinated with only two doses. According to the decision, up to 3,000 Israelis will be able to enter the country every day. Returns from abroad who are not vaccinated or recovering will be required to be insulated at home or at the entrance to the motel. In any case, anyone who returns to or leaves Israel – including vaccinated and recovering – will be required to undergo a corona examination.

According to the approved outline, vaccinated or recovering people will be able to fly abroad within the limits of the number of flights.
