The major new 1.5 upgrade to Stardew Valley’s hometown simulation was launched this week. I told you about it on Wednesday already, but I’ve played several hours of it now so I’m going to tell you more about it because gosh is so good. The new beach farm is worth starting a new savings file, as are the other cool new quality of life changes.
I’ve always found that Stardew Valley’s annual updates are really good about introducing changes that will make the game better without shattering everything what you know about it. I had never built Stardew after a major upgrade and felt lost and upset. That’s the way with update 1.5. The beach farm map is fresh and new but it doesn’t completely change the familiar routine.
Here’s a look at the whole thing and, really, keep going. I have now seen the entrance to the cave in the bottom left corner. I don’t know if it leads anywhere but I’m adding to my list of things to explore.
The beach is a beautiful change of scenery, but be warned that sprinklers cannot be sandblasted. That means, once you try to automate the operation of your farm, you need to hurry to free up the greenhouse or the same block of dirt covered with large logs. cleaning. Another thing is you and your best friend can water them forever.
if you carry out to shake up your usual Stardew formula a little more, don’t miss the advanced game options under the wrench button when starting a new save file. A worthwhile change is to remix the ingredients needed to complete the Community Center bags. I’m sure I can’t be the only one who can report on the materials needed for a spring hunting bundle and a spring crop bundle.
There are so many nice little variations to discover if you go and look for them. Off in the options menu, for example, the option is to change the sound alert when a fish is caught on your hook. I’m set with the usual sound that I couldn’t stick to any of the new options but hey, they’re quiet.
The biggest and best part of the new update is one that ConcernedApe chose not to spoil in the 1.5 update news from Wednesday, which I will also be sure I won’t. If you want to quickly make your way to the coldest (and hottest) part of the 1.5 update, be sure to upload one of your few years-old savings and check out that new door at the Willy store which was tightening earlier this year.
Also in the update news, ConcernedApe concluded with “Next year, more ads related to Stardew Valley (and possibly beyond) will be looking forward. ”He has previously said that Stardew Valley 2 is not out of the question, and it would not be surprising if he finishes making a number of additional updates to Stardew itself. Whatever comes next year, there’s a lot more Stardew to chew on right now.
