‘The Muppet Show’ is coming to Disney + in February

Disney + subscribers, prepare for even more Muppets as the first five seasons The Muppet Show it will be available for streaming from February 19th.

The Muppet Show first running between 1976 and 1981, broadcasting on syndication in the US and on ITV in the UK

Disney + said that this is the first time the fourth and fifth seasons of the comedy have been released for home entertainment.

The popular sketch comedy show featured A-listed guests including Liza Minnelli, Mark Hamill and Julie Andrews over the five-year period.

The Muppet Show comes with another Muppet fare on Disney +, including the original series Muppets now, a modern spin on the older mix show that launched last year and introduced two new Muppets, Joe the Legal Weasel and Beverly Plume. Muppets now, continuing the franchise’s great tradition of guest stars, RuPaul, Taye Diggs, Linda Cardellini and Seth Rogen were guest stars in their first season.

Disney + is also home to a number of Muppet films, including the recent tours The Muppets and Most wanted muppets, and the same season of a short-lived 2015 mock-up sitcom, The Muppets.

It’s not part of the 1990s Disney + line – yet Muppets tonight mixed series that aired on ABC and Disney Channel from 1996 to 1998. Show guests included The Prince, Sandra Bullock and Garth Brooks.
