The Masked Singer UK: John Thomson has re-enacted as Bush Baby

Bush Baby has been named actor John Thomson after he became the latest character to be removed from The Masked Singer UK on Saturday.

The Cold Feet star, 51, was one of the first celebrities to make the panel fail to measure ahead of an unknown, after throwing an audience with a deceptive Australian accent.

After getting involved, John admitted that it was a ‘relief’ to be published as he struggled to keep cool in a hot animal suit, joking that he hoped to work available at Disney in the future.

Davina McCall said she was thrilled that no one on the panel measured Bush Baby’s identity, despite theories involving Jamie Oliver and Gino D’Campo.

Jonathan Ross was famous for his red herring as an Australian Bush Baby accent, and it was quickly confirmed just when John, who was born in Worsley, was killed.

Speaking after the vote John said: ‘I have to say as a Northerner that not feeling the cold is not the biggest. I have to admit there is relief here. ‘

In addition to playing Pete Gilford on Cold Feet during his nine-series run, John has appeared in Coronation Street, The Fast Show and Men Behaving Badly.

Speaking after his engagement, he said: ‘I found half way that was perfect for me as I wasn’t there to win it.

‘I did it for fun and I was very grateful to be able to work during the pandemic. I was also very relieved as the suit was very, very hot and uncomfortable. ‘

At last! After admitting that John admitted it was a 'relief' to be exposed as he struggled to keep cool in the hard suit of hot animals.

‘I was embarrassed when I first played in the costume. It is a very strange experience, basically a complete lack of consciousness.

‘I thought the experience was very strange and unlike anything I’ve ever done before. The heat inside the clothes was inaccessible. ‘

John revealed that he jumped at the chance to take part after being asked for the first series in 2019, as he had to turn down the offer because of promises of filming with Cold Feet.
