The latest vaccine was not received

The majority of Israel’s COVID-19 deaths in February were recorded among people who did not receive the vaccine against the disease at all, Ministry of Health data released Tuesday showed.

Last month, 78% of the 935 coronavirus patients who died did not receive the vaccine at all or received just one dose of vaccine. Most of the rest died less than a week after receiving the second increase dose of the vaccine.

According to the data, 16 of the 19 patients who died on Tuesday were not vaccinated at all. On Monday, 12 out of 18 COVID sufferers were not vaccinated.

Approximately 1.2 million Israelis aged 16 and older do not yet receive at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, including about 460,000 members of the Arab community and 171,000 people from the ultra-orthodox region.

More than 85% of Israelis aged 90 and older have received both vaccine doses, along with 84.8% of those octogenarians, 87.8% of 70-79 year olds and 75.9% of 60-69 year olds.

In the 50-59 age group, 66.5% have already received both doses, as have 56.6% of 40-49 year olds and 39.4% of 30-39 year olds.

With the world’s best vaccination campaign recently expanded to include young people, only 30.8% of Israelis aged 20-29 have acquired both perspectives.

Ministry of Health data shows that 9.8% of Israelis aged 10-19 have also been vaccinated.
