After a report on the subject came up earlier this month, now comes Shiomi’s official confirmation that the company will unveil the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 series of devices towards the end of the current year. The confirmation comes through an invitation posted by the company through its official account on the Chinese social network Weibo, according to which the event will take place On Thursday, December 28, 2020 At 19:30, that is – around 13:30 at noon Israel time.
On the order appears in large numbers the 11, which refers to the Mi 11 models, while in the text that the company attaches to the order there is a specific reference to the new flagship series. Shiomi also adds reference to the weight or size of the devices using the words “Pack Light”.

It is already known that the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 series will be among the first to come with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is manufactured in a 5nm process and incorporates an 8-core Kryo 680 processor at a maximum clock speed of 2.84 GHz and a modem that supports 5G connectivity. Qualcomm also revealed that the new chipset uses 3 image processors, to improve photography and filming from multiple cameras simultaneously, and came out with a joint announcement with Google that devices that will use the Snapdragon 888 will receive an extended amount of updates to the Android operating system.
According to previous leaks, the new flagship series will come with specifications that include a screen with + Quad HD resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro model, with a 108-megapixel main sensor on the back along with a secondary sensor for performing a 12-megapotel optical zoom Pixel. Apart from the Snapdragon 888, the technical specifications are also expected to include memory of up to 12GB of RAM and a 4780mAh battery for the Mi 11 model and a 4970mAh battery for the Mi 11 Pro model, with support for fast charging at 55 watts.
