The first player-powered mountain by World Of Warcraft is a giant Ol tree that you can get for free

last year Blizzard ran a poll to find out what kind of trip World of Warcraft players wanted as a special community climber. We chose the Ancient Wandering, and now that choice has borne fruit, or in this case, a whole damn tree, now free for all property owners. Shadowlands expansion.

The Ancient Wandering is a clever old tree that has been slowly rumbling about various Azeroth lands since the game was launched. He’s a iconic animal, which is why he defeated competitors like slim cat and colorful caterpillar in a fan vote last year. The game now has a bark-covered beast, available for free in the climbing tab of anyone who owns it Shadowlands, as well as anyone who buys the extension in the future.

The cool thing about Wandering Ancient, as well as its large size, is that its leaves change colors with the seasons, giving players a reason to break out all year round. Sadly it doesn’t fly, but that makes sense. If trees could fly, there would be none on earth.

My favorite feature of Wandering Ancient, however, is the cavalry that rides behind my player character, a nod to the potential community mountain.
