The sumo wrestler, who won the Guinness record under the title of “the fattest boy in the world” already at the age of 4, passed away yesterday (Tuesday), at the age of 21. Djembolt Hatukhov, was called by his friends a “gladiator” because he weighed like four of them together. The unfortunate announcement of his death was made by Batal Govzev, Hotukhov’s coach, who wrote: “The first sumo wrestler of the Kabardian-Balkar Republic, Djembolt Hatukhov has passed away. According to the Russian news agency Life, Hotokhov reached his highest weight when he was 17 and weighed over 230 kg. A year later the young man surprised the world when after strenuous fitness training he lost about 176 kg. Also, the circumstances of Hotokhov’s death have not been revealed to the media, but reports have claimed that the young man suffered from severe kidney problems and may be the cause of his tragic death.
