The effects of a full moon on humans can be real

I’m happy to discover that I’m not the only one who feels like weird things always happen when there’s a full moon.

If you feel that way too …. we may be right, but the reason is not in the sky, it may be closer to home … as in the bedroom we close.

According to a new study by the University of Washington, lunar cycles can have a profound effect on our “human sleep patterns”.

Researchers say people go to bed later and sleep less on nights before a full moon. Apparently, this has been going on for centuries, we have blamed the moon for accidents, natural disasters, and even effects on our emotions. But the study suggests to be deceptive, and if a full moon could be blamed it may have more to do with what we get than anything else.

A University of Washington study found that sleep cycles open during the lunar cycle. So in the days up to a full moon, we usually go to bed later at night and then sleep for fewer hours overall, and sleep is usually more our satisfaction.

According to Professor de la Iglesia involved in the study:

“In general, there has been a lot of suspicion that lunar levels could affect sleep behavior – although in urban settings with high levels of light pollution, you may not know what phase is. the moon if not you go out or look out the window. “

The professor feels that much remains to be understood about this impact.
