The data also show that the rate of positive tests in the ultra-Orthodox sector is 20%. This is a higher figure than that of the Arab sector – 12.1%, and of the general sector – 7.8%. However, it should be noted that even in the ultra-Orthodox sector there is a decrease in the number of verified per day. Currently, there are 15.8 carriers per 10,000 people, while on January 18, 26 verified per 10,000 people were reported. In the general sector today the rate is 3.7 verified per 10,000 people and in the Arab sector – 6.7.
66.1% of the ultra-Orthodox over the age of 60 were vaccinated. In the general public, 84.9% have already been vaccinated over the age of 60, and in the Arab public – 60%. The general rate of vaccinators in the ultra-Orthodox sector is 27%, in the general public the figure presented is 32%, and among the Arabs – 18%.
How many recovered from Corona? In the ultra-Orthodox sector, 14% recovered, 2.4% from the general public and 8.1% from the Arab public.
Closing the education system
In the general sector, the closure of the education system had an effect when there was a real decrease in the number of verified people as well as in the percentage of positives in the tests, but in the ultra-Orthodox sector they were not affected by the move. However, it is evident that in the last week there has been a loosening in all sectors and an overall increase in the percentage of positives.
Less hospitalized
Hospitalization data in Israel show a declining trend in all sectors, probably against the background of the effects of the vaccine. Currently, in the Arab and ultra-Orthodox sectors the number of hospitalized is less than 15 people per million people – a relatively high figure for some in the population but lower than the peak of the wave, so we stood at more than 20 hospitalized in the Arab sector and about 20 hospitalized in the ultra-Orthodox sector per million people.
Decrease in mortality data
Mortality in Israel has declined in the past week in all sectors. The Arabs have 4 deaths per million people, the ultra-Orthodox – a little more than 4 and the general sector – just under 5 per million people per day.
There are still a large number of deaths, but here there is an overall decrease from a rate of almost 4 and a half in the ultra-Orthodox sector per million people, and a rate of almost 7 deaths in the general sector per million people at the peak of the plague.
