Chances are slim that the National Football League will return to being played this coming Monday as hoped by the League Director, who has even released the game schedule for the upcoming rounds assuming the league returns on Monday.
As it turns out after government talks that continued into the night, the tightened closure is expected to be extended on Sunday afternoon with no exceptions, so the chances of the National League returning as planned are extremely low.
It should be noted that talks between the director of the football leagues and the sports and health ministries on the subject are still ongoing, but Ministry of Health officials insist that due to the non-improving morbidity situation, there will be no easing of closure, so national games will not be resumed.
In any case, the league administration states that it will be possible to end the season as planned at the end of May, but the national teams are expected to have a game load like the one expected in the Premier League. However, it is clear to everyone that this is an unusual season, so everyone will have to be flexible and understand that there is no other choice.
The organization of football players and the Histadrut in a letter of demand to Edelstein and Trooper
The chairman of the organization, Moshiko Mishalof, together with Nir Alon, head of the division, sent a letter to the Minister of Health and the Minister of Culture and Sports demanding that the National League be returned to regular games. The letter states: “The actors’ organization represents all the professional actresses and actors in Israel. “Last week, in an unusual way and in contrast to previous cases, only the Premier League was returned to the games while the National League remained in the closure.”
“There is no substantive justification for separating the professional leagues. “The players are badly affected by the non-existence of the games both financially and professionally, as well as the non-existence of games for such a long period may expose the players to serious injuries when the league returns after a long period. Therefore and accordingly the Players Organization demands that the National League return to regular format on Monday 1.2.21 and no later than Friday 5.2.21. And no, the players’ organization will have to consider taking the measures at its disposal. “
