The Avalanches Announce 2021 Spring Tour Date at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Australia

The Avalanches have announced a special concert in Melbourne, Australia, to be held on April 23, 2021 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Pre-sale tickets for the upcoming event will be available on Friday, December 18 at 12:00 pm AEDT at this venue.

This show will be at a social pace, with ticket options being sold to groups of two, four or six for the upcoming close-up show. There will also be several ticket sections, with private decks, stall tables and balcony seating. Each option retains a designated area for serving groups, meaning they must be retained throughout the transaction.

Live shows have already begun to return to Australia and New Zealand, which have very low levels of COVID-19 infection and are currently planning to receive vaccines first. Electronic events such as Slumberjack and WhatSoNot have held concerts in the area this month, with Amanda Palmer hosting a tour of New Zealand this summer.

The Avalanches will also be hosting a live stream this Saturday, December 19, where the group will be spinning deep cuts from their collection along with their own material. They will also be showing Jonathan Zawada ‘s short film Behavior waves, which is a companion piece to their latest studio album We will always love you.

We will always love you there are several prominent guests from across all genres. The project’s title track includes Blood Orange, “Running Red Lights” featuring Weomzer’s Cuomo Rivers and Pink Siifu, “Wherever You Go” featuring Jamie XX, Neneh Cherry and Clypso, “Reflecting Light” featuring Sananda Maitreya and Vashti Bunyan and “Take Care in Your Dreaming” featuring Denzel Curry, Tricky and Sampa the Great. They also reported on a new single called “The Divine Chord” starring MGMT and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, shown below.
