The author has a new novel ‘Big Little Lies’ in September

The new novel from Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty will be a story of family, tennis and a secret absence.

Henry Holt announced Wednesday that Moriarty’s Apples will never fall coming out Sept. 14. His characters include retired tennis coaches Stan and Joy Delaney and their four adult children with the author once again taking readers behind closed doors a bank that looks quiet.

Now, Joy Delaney has disappeared and her children are retelling their parents’ marriage and family history with frightening new eyes according to Holt. Is her look related to their mysterious guest house last year? Or were things ever as rosy as they appeared in Delaney’s home?

Books written by Australian writers also include Truly Madly Guilty and Nine Perfect Strangers which came out in 2018 and is being adapted for Hulu miniseries featuring Nicole Kidman. Big Little Lies, released in 2014, is the basis for the Emmy-winning HBO series starring Kidman Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley.
