‘That’s a tough question to answer’ – Kane unsure of Tottenham’s future

The striker confirmed that he would not make any decisions before the end of Euro 2020 in the summer

Tottenham star Harry Kane admits he does not know at the moment if he has a future with the Premier League side amid reports he could leave in the summer.

Kane, 27, has been hugely popular at Spurs thanks to his goalkeeping efforts.

That ability in front of the net has also caught the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs, however, leading to the profitability of a steady move over the England striker.

What was said?

“I think that’s a difficult question to answer right now,” Kane told reporters when asked if he had to leave Tottenham to win awards.

“It’s important that I have all the focus on the two upcoming England games now and the rest of the season with Spurs and then the Euro.

“Thinking about profiteering or rumors would be detrimental to my own performance.

“I have always wanted to aim for one goal and one job and that is for a strong finish with Spurs, to win those qualifications with England and the hope of going ahead and having great Euros.

“Look, I try to stay out of that profiteering as much as possible. I’m fully focused on doing the work on the park from now until the end of the summer and we’ll see where we go from there. ”

The bigger picture

Kane joined Spurs as an 11-year-old and has spent his entire professional career with the club, saving a handful of loan spells while in high school.

So far he has scored 215 goals in 327 appearances in all competitions, making him Spurs’ second-highest ever score behind Jimmy Greaves.

There is one thing wrong with the striker ‘s CV, however: he has yet to win a single major trophy with his youth club.

EFL Cup and Champions League rhythm medals are as close as Kane came to silverware, although he will get another chance to break that duck in April when Tottenham take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
