According to the report, the passenger went to the bathroom and then returned to his seat returning to the bag above his seat what appeared to be a medicine. Then, when the passenger sat down, he started screaming and raving. The passenger sitting next to him tried to grab the man’s hands so as not to get hurt but it broke his glasses and bit his ear.
A police force boarding the plane found the man handcuffed to the floor as crew used the plane’s seat belts to hold him in his arms and legs. A quick search of the man led to the finding of 1.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Following the discovery of the drug, the police also arrested the man on the grounds of possession and distribution of a prohibited substance. It was later revealed that the detainee is a New Jersey resident named John Yorkowitz. His lawyer told Fox News that “this is an unusual event and not typical of my client who is a family man, a father and an exemplary husband.”
