Terrifying: The engine of a plane burned during a flight

A United Airlines flight from Colorado to Hawaii was forced to make an emergency landing after the plane’s right engine caught fire after takeoff. The plane made an emergency landing minutes after takeoff after parts of it disintegrated following the fire.

The pieces that fell apart from the plane, as can be seen in the documentation, fell on a residential neighborhood in Colorado and fortunately there were no casualties in the incident. Some of the residents managed to photograph the fall of the plane parts to the living area.

Passengers who were on the plane also managed to photograph the right engine when it caught fire and was almost completely dismantled. The plane was in the air for a little over twenty minutes from the moment of takeoff until the emergency landing which ended safely and without casualties.

There were about 240 passengers on the plane. This is a Boeing 777, one of the safest and most common aircraft in the world. It is important to emphasize that there have been several cases in the past where there have been failures of one of the engines, but aircraft can continue to fly a considerable distance even with one engine, although this is a complex task.

United is one of the largest airlines in the US and operates flights to Israel as well. It is important to emphasize that this type of case is very rare, but for the most part the event ends safely. Experienced pilots should know how to deal with such situations and practice it as part of their training.
