After three weeks of long action from the League of Legends Spring 2021 LCS Lock-In, Team Liquid and Cloud9 take on each other in the grand finals.
Cloud9 got a tough win against 100 thieves in the first semi-final of LCS 2021 Lock-In to become the first team in the grand final. The second semi-final saw Team Liquid whitewash Evil Geniuses in a 3-0 stomp.
The final is expected to be played on January 31 at 12:30 pm (PST). Team Liquid and Cloud9 appear to be in stellar form after a slowdown in the semi-finals.
The team that wins the grand final will not only win the award but also win an elegant prize pool of $ 150,000.
Lock-In League Legends LCS 2021: Evil Geniuses vs. Liquid Team
Evil Geniuses barely missed the opportunity when Team Liquid’s Jo “Correjj” emerged from the support role, earning himself the “Best Player of the Series” award. Team Liquid stuck to their strategy of Jayce, Udyr, and Thresh for the first two wins.
Evil Geniuses tried twice to remove the Gnar-Olaf combo. However, given Gnar ‘s current difficulty, the draft did not appear to be working at all. Team Liquid quickly took advantage of Evil Geniuses ’shortcomings, and got the series with a comfortable 3-0 goal line.
The results from the three matches are:
- Game 1 – Team Liquid started the day with a 30-minute victory over Evil Geniuses (1-0)
- Game 2 – Team Liquid confirmed their lead after this one-sided 25-minute League of Legends game (2-0)
- Game 3 – Team Liquid put the series to bed with another awesome 25-minute win over Evil Geniuses. (3-0)
After nearly three weeks of professional League of Legends action, the LCS 2021 Lock-In has reached its final stage. Team Liquid and Cloud9 have both been in stellar form throughout the competition.
In addition, Team Liquid’s Correjj has picked up five MVP awards so far in the tournament while Cloud9’s Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen has won the award twice during the playoffs alone.
With high-end talent on display, the LCS Lock-In 2021 League of Legends final is set to be one of Esports ’first major 2021 event.
