The 26-year-old has created a score and goals for the Red Devils since joining last year, but the coach said he is only “part of a chain”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has denied suggestions that Manchester United are heavily reliant on Bruno Fernandes.
The midfielder has been a star player at Old Trafford since joining the Red Devils last January.
He leads United both in Premier League goals (11) and assists (seven) and has beaten four times and established one more in the Champions League.
Fernandes was credited as the leading figure in the promotion of his side to Premier League title contestants, but Solskjaer said the 26-year-old is as much dependent on his teammates as they need to be.
“Bruno has come in and helped the team, no doubt about that,” Man Utd head coach said.
“He has come in at a time when we needed his type of player, and Bruno has joined a team that is bringing his talents and skills to fruition.
“He’s come to a team that suits him and that suits the team. That goes hand in hand. If the players don’t run, Bruno can’t play his passes; if Bruno can’t His passes can be played by players.
“He ‘s part of a series here and I’m sure Bruno would say that he also values his teammates and that they help him through games.”
He said: “From day one, he has come in and wanted to make an impact on the environment, the play environment, the staff. It’s been a great addition.
“He is such a humble man, working hard; and I think everyone has seen what he ‘s done on the pitch. [I’m] very happy with his first year and may continue, because the higher up in the league, the more we will be under pressure and because now he has the eye for light, but I’m sure he handled that pressure well. “
Solskjaer also said the Sporting CP star is one of the most vocal players in the team on the field and praised his desire to win games.
“He has the ideas and he is a winner. He doesn’t just want to let a game go by and talk about it later; he wants to make an impact then and there, “he said.
“He’s so passionate about winning and he knows his football, he knows his stuff. I think he’s watching every game he’s on. television, especially the big games.
“If you ask him: ‘Did you see that game last night?’, He’s always watched the games. He’s going to make the most of his career, that’s for sure. . “
