Tandav trailer: Saif Ali Khan solves anarchy in Amazon’s new show. Watch here – tv

The first trailer for Tandav, a new political drama debated on Amazon Prime Video on January 15, has been released online. Set in the deceptive world of Indian politics, the series explores the moral retaliation and power struggle that is unfolding in Lutyens ’Delhi.

The trailer opens with the character of Saif Ali Khan at his father’s funeral. Expected to take his place at the helm of a powerful political family, Saif’s character embarks on a journey that could take him to the very top of the pyramid. But with enemies all around him, he has to play his cards fast.

The drama is expanding at all levels of Indian politics. While Saif is working in Delhi, a parallel project involving student leader Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub is expanding on a university campus. Meanwhile, Sunil Grover is appearing as a scheme enforcer.

Created and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tandav ‘takes audiences into the world of political power’, he said in a statement. “As you look at the show, you realize that there is no right or wrong, there is no black or white; the world of power is about the world of grays, ”he said.

Saif, who made his digital debut with St. Netflix Games, had previously described his character as ‘like Chanakya’. He told PTI, “My character is like Chanakya, in the form of a youth leader who comes from a welfare background and wants to be Prime Minister. ”

Dilli was the title of the previous show, which both Saif and Ali were unsure about. “I hope he’s not called Dilli in the end. Tandav was the working title that captured more meaning than the show was about. Dilli is a little thin (cold) in reality. I don’t think we have either titles, Dilli or Tandav. We have to work hard to create something more sexual like House of Cards. Something with a little more poetry to the title than just a geographical location, ”Saif told journalist Rajeev Masand.
