The trailer of Saif Ali Khan’s web series on Amazon Prime Video Tandav is out. Political drama with director Ali Abbas Zafar, Tandav also features Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Dimple Kapadia, Kritika Kamra, Gauahar Khan, Sarah Jane Dias, Sunil Grover, Dino Morea, Anuup Sonii, Kumud Mishra and Sandhya Mridul in key parts .
The well-cut trailer shows how people from different backgrounds interact in their fight to sit on the top chair. Saif’s Samar Pratap Singh, who belongs to a political family, hopes to become prime minister. Grover plays his cunning, all-knowing support. Ayyub and Kamra are student leaders. At the same time, the characters of Kapadia and Mishra want to ascend the ‘throne’ in any way possible.
The trailer shows us how the lives of these people are interconnected as they build up the drama in an almost predictable way. The actors seem well-worn. The script was written by Article 15 writer, Gaurav Solanki, so I have high hopes. Eventually, it all boils down to the leadership of Ali Abbas Zafar. Renowned for making commercial cinema, it will be interesting to see how he handled the web series.
Speaking about his character in Tandav, Saif Ali Khan said in a statement, “The entertainment industry in India is undergoing a revival and stories like Tandav are at the very beginning of this change. As an actor, for me, a good piece of dramatic writing and strong creation with gray characters is always inspiring. As I read about the complexity of my character Samar and dived deeper into the world of Tandav, I knew I had to play this character. ”
Tandav will first appear on January 15 on Amazon Prime Video.
