Tampa celebrated in Washington, a dramatic victory for the Bills

Beginning of an article

As in all other sports over the past year, the NFL Corona did not make life easier and even threatened to spoil the celebration, but at the end of the day – they did come despite everything: the football playoffs kicked off with the meeting between the Palo Bills and Indianapolis Colts, Which ended in a big drama and with a piece of monkey being taken off the back by the Bills, who won the playoffs for the first time since 1995. Later that night, Tampa Bay and Tom Brady scored 23:31 in Washington, and the Los Angeles Rams outscored Seattle by 20:30 away.

Washington – Tampa Bay 31:23
Shortly before the opening whistle it was learned that Washington’s opening quarterback Alex Smith would be out due to injury. Even if there was a game, the chances were not in favor of the host, but without it – the feeling was that they had nothing to sell in front of the strong opponent on the other side. At the end of the day, the game was much tighter than expected, but the bottom line was that Tampa Bay and Tom Brady did their part and moved on.

Brady handed out 381 yards and two touchdowns – one to Antonio Brown and the other to Chris Gadwin – and led the Buckeners to their first playoff victory since 2002, so the club went all the way to winning the championship. Taylor Nikkei, who replaced the injured Smith, provided a surprising 306 yards and two touchdowns – one in the run and one in the delivery to Stephen Sims Jr. – but with the exception of respect (which is quite a bit), was left empty-handed.

Palo – Indianapolis 24:27
When Josh Allen found Stephen Diggs for a 35-yard touchdown at the opening of the final quarter that set 10:24 to the host’s credit, the business seemed to be closed. However, the quarterback on the other side, Philip Rivers, managed to lead two quick and successful drives that narrowed the gap to just three. The Colts’ defense did the job in the next drive and allowed Rivers one last chance to win, or at least send the game into overtime with a field goal.

In a fourth-down and 10-yard pass, Rivers found Zack Pascal, who grabbed the ball, and lost it. The referees went to see the move in the video again – confirming the loss and transferring the ball to Buffalo would close interest at that moment, but the Zebras decided to leave the ball in the hands of an indie claiming that a defensive player touched Pascal before the ball got out of his hands. The Colts received a great gift, but did not know how to take advantage of it. Subsequent moves, including Rivers’ “Hale-Mary” attempt, failed – and Palo survived.

Josh Allen finished an excellent game with 324 yards (26 of 35) and two passes to the touchdown. In addition, the Bills quarterback found the endzone with his feet and finished with 11 carries for 54 yards. On the other hand, Rivers closed out an evening of 309 yards (27 of 46) and two dedications to the touchdown as well, but his debut season with indie – and perhaps last – came to an end with a sour taste.

Seattle – Los Angeles Rams 30:20
Two rivals for the NFC West House also met at the Wild Card stage. The guest was forced to go up without her senior quarterback, Jared Body, who suffered an injury to the throwing hand – and was replaced by John Wolfford. However, the latter injured himself as early as the first quarter, which dragged the insertion of a body onto the lawn contrary to earlier plans. Now, well, the body will have a full week to become fit to open in the next playoff stage.

With outstanding defense as throughout most of the season as well as great ability from Cam Acres on the ground (28 presidencies, 131 yards and a touchdown), Los Angeles came out of Seattle with a big win. Body finished a modest 155-yard game (9-of-19) and one pass to review into the hands of Robert Woods. On the other hand, Russell Wilson had a very hard time in front of the defense (dropped 5 times) and finished with 11 from 27 for 174 yards, two touchdown passes and one loss, which turned into a defensive touchdown.
