After the bad start to the season, Urbani continues to try to change the squad – to escape the underground struggles: Guard McKenzie Moore signed tonight (Monday) with the team on a contract until the end of the season. “I am glad that we were able to find a quality player in the character of Mackenzie Moore in a difficult period. We were looking for a quality guard who could play in several positions, and I have followed him quite a bit in recent years,” said coach Shai Saglovich.
The 28-year-old Moore (1.98) is able to play in both guard and team positions alongside Kaylin Lucas in the back line. The American opened the season in Wloclawek, Poland, with which he won the trophy and left with an impressive average of 11.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
He had previously played in the Australian League, when he recorded the European breakthrough season in the uniform of Lavrio in 2017/18. He led the league in the index and steals and was selected to the top five this season. He then moved to Banbit and from there to Saratov and Wloclawek. Another player who joins the thickening of Shai Saglovitch’s renewed squad is Ido Davidi, who was recently released from Hapoel Eilat, and is also expected to officially sign soon.
