According to the indictment, the young woman crossed the border on Monday, February 1, 2021 at around 19:00. She traveled by bus from Kiryat Shmona to Majdal Shams, and from there walked towards the border with a bag of food, personal equipment, a telephone and a camera with a memory card.
The defendant reached the system road, crossed the border, left the case in the demilitarized zone and took the camera with her. She walked for long hours until she reached the Syrian village of Khader, which is a few kilometers from Majdal Shams.

The indictment recounts what happened in the village and in the days that followed: in the village of Hadar, many people gathered around her and she was taken by two of them to the local police station.
The police officers took the camera from her and there she was taken to the detention center, interrogated and the next day transferred to a prison in Damascus, where the security forces tried to persuade her to help them carry out their plot to abduct soldiers from one of the IDF outposts.
