Sylvie Jean, Ambassador of Athena, will attend the special event alongside ten leading former football players from all over the world, including Brigitte Prince from Germany and Ivy Wombach from the United States.

The Athena Ambassador, former footballer and native of Netanya, Sylvie Jean, has been selected by the German Football Association and the country’s women’s football academy, along with ten leading past players of all time, to mark International Women’s Day, which will take place on March 8, 211. Alongside Jean, Alice Kell from the UK, Josephine Lautenbach from Austria, Charlotte Sheft, Christa Kleinhans, Barbel Wolben, Marion Isbert and Brigitte Prince from Germany, Doreen Meyer who played in East Germany, Mercy Akida-Marbie and Nigeria from Nigeria were also selected. “B.
As part of the special event, signed shirts bearing the image of each of the football players participating in an auction, the proceeds of which will be donated to a global project to prevent violence against women, will be sold.

I as a woman am proud to contribute to an international event on Women’s Day on March 8 with a respectable zoom. Happy to have the opportunity to talk about my country, me as a footballer “And ‘not for violence’ not only in the wake of the shocking cases in Israel, but against violence against women all over the world, to talk about promoting appreciation for their abilities and strengthening and empowering them in every way.
