Syfy hangs ‘Wynonna Earp’ guns – TBI Vision

Syfy, the US-based cable channel NBCUniversal, has eliminated the supernatural west Wynonna Earp, with the show coming to an end after the second half of its upcoming fourth season.

The show, which is co-produced by IDW Entertainment, Cineflix Studios and SEVEN24 Films, is on Syfy in the US and CTV Sci-Fi in Canada. The final six programs of season four begin on March 5, with the final now due to come on April 9.

Based on the IDW comic created by Beau Smith, Wynonna Earp developed for TV by presenter Emily Andras and observes the life of the legendary lawyer Wyatt Earp’s grandson (Melanie Scrofano) while fighting demons and other supernatural beings.

The show, which ended on Syfy in 2016, has already been announced that it was returning for a fifth season, and while that doesn’t seem to be happening anymore, U.S. reports suggest that producers looking for a new home for the show.

“From the beginning, Emily has been advocating for strong female characters who come into their own power, authority and independence – and who are also complex and three-dimensional,” said James Durie, head of script at Wynonna Earp Cineflix Rights broadcaster on TBI last year.

“Wynonna Earp’s character leads viewers from mixed backgrounds to believe that anything is possible – as long as you’re willing to fight for it. It’s a show about family and love and embracing who you should be despite the opinions and expectations of others. ”
