Back in 2016 when the Apple Watch was still a relatively new device, Swiss watchmaker H. Moser & Cie came out with a high-end mechanical Apple Watch clone called the Swiss Alp Watch, which ” features a rectangular watch face with curved, rounded edges, a crown at the side, and Apple Watch-style lugs.
H. Moser & Cie today took the lead in leading the original Swiss Alp Guard, including a “$ 30,800 Swiss Final Update” which the company says is the “A high point for the Swiss Alp Guard saga. ”
Featuring the same rectangular design as the original Swiss Apple Watch and Alp Watch, the Final Update was created after the design was recommended by customer H. Moser & Cie. The DLC steel case features a Vantablack dial, and for those unfamiliar with Vantablack, it is considered to be one of the darkest known materials, containing up to 99.965 percent visible light.
Instead of a traditional manual dial, the latest update features a loading model in the style of the Apple Watch, which is actually a fun addition to the Apple Watch. H. Moser plays on the theme of simplicity and “less is more” in his marketing materials.
“No updates required, no lousy autonomy, no unnecessary features, no weird messages, just the only reminder you will ever need: To disconnect from all sounds and appreciate every minute, “read a description of the watch.
The loading wheel, or “shadow disc made of openings” means “being a reminder that here and there is everything that matters.”
The Swiss Alp Guard Final Update is fully mechanical with 100% Swiss Manufacture movement and 96 hour power supply. H. Moser & Cie has created just 50 of the Final Update watches, with more information available on the company’s website.
