Survey of seats: majority for Netanyahu’s opponents, Lapid narrows the gap

The News 12 poll published tonight (Wednesday) presents the emerging picture of the political map ahead of the elections to the 24th Knesset. Prime Minister Netanyahu cannot be satisfied with the results, with a bloc of Netanyahu’s opponents reaching 61 seats. The bloc of Netanyahu supporters, assuming that a right-wing leader led by Naftali Bennett would recommend him, wins only 59 seats.

The Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, wins only 28 seats, which brings the gap from the second largest party, Yesh Atid, to only 10 seats. Gideon Saar’s new hope continues to weaken and wins only 13 seats, while Bennett’s right with 11 seats.

The joint list wins 9 seats, Shas with 8, Torah Judaism and Yisrael Beiteinu with 7 seats each and the Labor Party maintains the positive trend and wins 6 seats. Religious Zionism with 5 while Meretz and Blue and White win 4 seats each Prof. Yaron Zelicha’s economic gain is 1.7% and Mansour Abbas’ GDP is up 0.9%.

Yair Lapid also significantly reduces the gap between Netanyahu on the question of personal suitability to serve as prime minister. To this question, 30% answered that they would have preferred the prime minister, 23% chose Lapid, 12% in Saar and 10% were interested in seeing Naftali Bennett as prime minister.
