Superhero movies to keep an eye out for in 2021

2020 was the first year since 2010 without a single Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Well, 2021 will, we hope, correct that. Many MCU movies that were slated for release in 2020 will now hit theaters in 2021.

DC also has two films for release this year.

Sony has two films, which have been building its live action universe of Spider-Man and supporting characters (Spider-Verse), in 2021.

Here are all the superhero movies you should keep an eye out for in 2021:

Justice League Zack Snyder

The famous Snyder Cut of the 2017 Justice League will finally be released in 2021. It is more of a TV show than a film as it is reported to be released in four parts. Zack Snyder said he would release it in March, though he did not mention the date. Snyder Justice League left half way and Joss Whedon was hired to finish the film. His audience and critics hated him, and Snyder fans believe this new film will undo the damage.

Morbius

Morbius features Jared Leto, who still has to get over the bad reception for his Joker, playing the role of Morbius the Living Vampire. His character, Michael Morbius, suffers from a rare blood disease and dangerous medicine turns him into a vampire. Morbius will be released on March 19th.

Black Widow

Black Widow was earlier to hit theaters in the spring of 2020. It is based on the same female superhero in the old Avengers guard. Since, Natasha Romanoff is dead now, the film is set in the past. In particular, it is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War 2016 in which she escapes the law thanks to her support of Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. Black Widow will release on May 7th.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Tom Hardy will return to the role of Eddie Brock or Venom in the sequel. Woody Harrelson will be the main antagonist of Cletus Kasady or Carnage, and Michelle Williams and Reid Scott will also return. Naomie Harris will also appear in the film, which is directed by film actor Andy Serkis. Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be released on June 25th.

Shang-Chi and the Myth of the Ten Circles

Simu Liu will star in the long-awaited Shang-Chi film. Awkwafina, the star of Crazy Rich Asians, is thrown into an undisclosed role and Tony Leung plays the (real) Mandarin role, and not the impostor played by Ben Kingsley. The film examines in detail the shadow rebel group Ten Rings. Destin director Daniel Cretton will release Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings on July 9th.

The Suicide Squad

Colorful tone, playfulness, weird characters that seem to be ripped right off the comic book panels, it looks like the superhero movie of 2021. The Suicide Squad by James Gunn, the faces are absolutely cowardly ( it ‘s Suicide Squad, after all), and everything about it, including marketing, looks goofy. It will be released on August 6th.

Eternals

The Eternals are a multi-star would study alien immortality that has stood against Deviants like Thanos (at least in the comics) for millions of years. The film, directed by Chloé Zhao and written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, features Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan , Angelina Jolie and Kit Harington. Eternals, formerly titled The Eternals, comes out on November 5th.

Spider-Man 3

The third film in the Spider-Man film series directed by Tom Holland inside the MCU looks likely to be about the multiplayer. Actors will return from previous Spider-Man films such as Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doc Ock), and even the narration of Tobey Maguire and Spideys Andrew Garfield and others. Benedict Cumberbatch will take over from Peter Stark, Peter’s advisor. Spider-Man 3 will release on December 17th.
