Pakistan Super League was abruptly suspended after several advanced coronavirus cases.

A total of seven positive tests were reported at the tournament, including Tom Banton, a battery from England and Somerset, who will play for the Quetta Gladiators side.

Read a statement on the PSL’s official website: “After a meeting with the team’s owners and a very important discussion on the health and wellbeing of all the participants, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to cancel HBL Pakistan Super League 6 in the immediately.

“The decision was made after seven reported cases in the competition, which started on 20 February.

“The PCB, as an immediate step, will aim for the safe and secure passage of all participants, and will arrange PCR testing, vaccinations and isolation facilities to all six participating sides.”
