Strange Planet with Three Stars and Skewed Orbit Angle discovered by Kepler Mission

There seem to be a lot of weird discoveries in the universe lately, and we’re still almost starting 2021. New research sheds light on past discoveries about a strange planet. Now, it is discovered that there are three suns and that there is a strange angle around it.

As reported by Digital Trends, this strange planet is known as Planet KOI-5Ab and was discovered in 2009 by NASA’s New Kepler Mission. As the years passed, Kepler continued to discover more and more planets. In fact, as a result of a ton of discovery, so many important things have been overlooked.

NASA’s New Kepler Mission

For centuries, voyages to discover other planets like our Earth have been revived with the vigor and interest of hundreds of planets orbiting other stars. Kepler’s mission is focused on looking for gas giants, super earth hot, and ice giants. Now for the most part, the mission is trying to find terrestrial planets that are larger than the size of the Earth. Preferably, the target planets are relative to those in the arable zone, where meltwater may be present.

Mission Kepler has been exploring and studying the Milky way galaxy for several years now. They have discovered many Earth-like planets that are larger or smaller in size and located in arable zones. They also identify billions of stars in the galaxy that may orbit these planets. Although they have found important results, many of their findings have been neglected.

New displays for Planet KOI-5Ab

Fortunately, the team from NASA’s Exoplanet Science Institute wanted to look back at what was often abandoned as unnecessary information. Leading scientist David Ciardi has begun the phase by looking into the available data for the KOI-5Ab. After several studies using different telescopes, they have found big data and discovery.

According to an interview with Ciardi released on NASA’s official website, “KOI-5Ab was abandoned because it was complicated, and we had thousands of candidates. Building was easier than KOI-5Ab, and we learning something new from Kepler every day., until KOI-5 was largely forgotten. ”

What is very interesting about this new discovery is that KOI-5Ab is trapped in a triple star system, which means that the planet revolves around three stars. This is a very rare thing to find out there according to scientists. Moreover, another thing that has been found is that it lies in its orbit at a tiled angle.

Commenting on the findings, Ciardi said, “We don’t know how many planets there are in three – orbiting star systems, and this one is very special because its orbit is tired. “

“We still have a lot of questions about how and when planets can be in multi-star systems and how their properties compare to planets in single-star systems. By examining this system in In more detail, we may gain an understanding of how the universe is made of planets, “he said.

Scientists have discovered that the planet and the three surrounding stars may not have been created at the same time which is very rare. In an attempt to explain the planet’s unusual tilt, a theory has been created which states that one of the three stars must have blocked the planet’s orbit, increasing the weight of the tilt planet. to another plane.
