From next Friday, the State of Israel will once again enter a full closure, which also calls into question the continuation of professional sports activities. The relevant bodies are trying to exclude sports and in the process, the Football Leagues Administration has written a letter to the Prime Minister. The contents of the full letter are in front of you:
1. All over the world, including these days (including England experiencing the spread of the disease and the consequences of the mutation), the leagues continue, have not stopped and do not stop even in the case of general, local, nocturnal closures, etc.
Due to the halt in the previous closure, we are already lagging behind international schedules. Any further halt to our leagues will lead to devastating sporting, legal and commercial consequences including fears that we will not be able to finish the season and place the teams in the UEFA factories.
2. All players and team members of the teams in full home isolation. They were imposed a home isolation obligation, with the exception of going to games and training from the beginning of the season, unlike all Israeli citizens.
3. Our activities take place in an open space and not in closed spaces. Ministry of Health officials also testify that the percentage of infections in an open area is very low, in addition to being young athletes, etc.
The cessation of activity will lead to the collapse of the industry and enormous economic damage. And beyond that, the teams need about a month of preparation to return to routine and even then there is a high exposure to injuries due to enormous physiological loads.
