Jeremy Bulloch, who played bounty hunter Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy, has died at the age of 75.

The English actor died on Thursday in a London hospital after years of living with Parkinson’s.

His representatives at Brown, Simcocks & Andrews said his death was due to health problems.

Mark Hamill, played by Luke Skywalker, echoed Lucas’ words, tweeting that Bulloch was “the amazing English gentleman”.

Hamill said: “A great actor, happy company and so kind to everyone who is lucky enough to meet or work with him.

“I will miss him very much and I am so thankful I knew him.”

Bulloch was born in Market Harborough, Leicester and was involved in a number of British TV shows, including Doctor Who, Crown Court, and Sloggers.

He also appeared in the films Bond For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy.

Bulloch is still alive with his wife Maureen, three sons and 10 grandchildren.

His death will come less than a month later David Prowse, the man who wore the famous Darth Vader costume in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Prowse, who died after a short illness, was 85.
