Tutu Turner Stadium (Martin Gutdamek)
The directors of the major stadiums in Israel today (Wednesday) sent a letter to the directors of the Ministries of Health and Sports and to the Corona Projector requesting them to share in the discussions and decisions on the return of the crowd to the pitches. Barak Gurji (Teddy), Lior Perry (Sami Ofer), Eitan Shor (Bloomfield), Meir Alfasi (Turner), Ilan Yablokovsky (Netanya) and Reuven Katz (HaMoshava – “Shlomo Insurance”) sign the letter in which they call for an appointment Or a tour.
The letter reads, among other things: “There is no need to say too much about the impact of the corona plague on the facilities we manage, which for a whole year, prevented a crowd of tens of thousands of fans from visiting the stands. Throughout the past year, we have believed that the large stadiums we run, given their open air structure and large audience capacity, can accommodate large crowds even within the confines of the Corona and without risk of disease, as is the case in many similar places around the world.
“Now that millions of people have been vaccinated in the State of Israel, there is certainly no reason to prevent the crowd from returning to the stadiums, and a clear, simple and certain outline must be urgently established that will allow this. We learn from various publications in the media about different decisions and discussions that take place regarding the return of the crowd to stadiums that we unfortunately do not share. “
“It is important for us to emphasize that operating large stadiums to accommodate a large crowd is a complex task that requires planning, preparation and early investment. On the subject ”.
In light of the above, we would like to immediately schedule a meeting or tour of one of the stadiums, with the participation of representatives from us, where we can comment based on the extensive experience we have accumulated and our familiarity with the various options for returning the crowd to the stadiums. The faster this is done – the more we can bring in the tens of thousands of people who are begging for it! ”
